Hello again old friend
So it happened. S14 is gone. My old 180 is back in my posession. In short I was getting too old for the roughness/rowdiness of the s14 since I've taken it too far and didn't want to demod it. I wanted a simpler, low power comfortable street car on p98 with aircon that I could still drift.
Anyways here's some old photos of it back when I used to own it. The car looks quite different from when I previously owned it despite it only missing some cool wheels and the grail Garage S Hood sadly. Wife approves because pop up lights. So the car hadn't ran since the start of covid which has been quite a few years now... Fuel and oil change along with fitting my te's on to prepare for its maiden voyage home during the daytime. Treated it to a wash and went over the car briefly. It was a lot rougher than I remember when I used to own it but back then the car was my practice car which would sound very unusual to a lot of people these days being a genuine type x. It was quite neglected and in my ownership I didn't rectify anything really since it was able to still drive/drift which was all that mattered back then. When I got the car 5 years ago, mechanically I just slapped in a t28, 550cc injectors, boost tee, nistune, some arms, diy knuckles, fabbed a rough in bay cooler and just sent it.
Now I'll be doing my best to fix/tidy up the car where I can along with some new modifications. I'll do my best to write posts on the work and hopefully it doesn't take me forever to get running again as it's currently pulled apart being worked on.
Hopefully this doesn't end up being one of those stories where people buy their old cars back to realise they missed the memories not the car itself...
