Winton Drift Cadet
Belated post again sorry
I wanted to get another drift event in before the end of the year so I entered drift cadet at Winton which was an open session drift day.
This was the first time I was going to tow with the wagon so I was keen to see how it went. I managed to load up everything in the back of it pretty easily. I left the jerry cans in the s14 so I wouldn’t have to smell e85 the whole way up.
Picked up the trailer and loaded the 14. I also sold one set of VSKF's and refurbished my model 5's to run on the s14 for more of a sporty look
Chucked on a Joe Rogan podcast and cruised my way up to the accom near Winton. First stop at wallan to top up and check the straps.
Made it to the accom and enjoyed a gourmet dinner
Unloaded at the track. Unfortunately the morning was pouring rain but I was still keen to drive.
Was pretty hungry so I got a quick bite first from the canteen.
Did some drifting in the rain. Bit slow but good to get as much driving in as I can.
Luckily the weather gods showed mercy and gave us sunny skies and a dry track
Then the real fun could begin

The car drove pretty well all day. I was a bit rusty since it’s been over 9 months since I’ve drifted and over a year since I last drove Winton.
Only issue I had was my clutch started slipping due to my clutch pedal being wound out all the way which didn’t allow pressure to bypass once the system got hot so it pressed in the pressure plate a little. I wound it back so I could keep driving but I had to fix it properly after Winton.
