Halfway hangs 2020

I entered Halfway Hangs as my first interstate drift event (not sure if Wilby counts being just over the NSW border?). It was also my first time towing and it was a 14 hour trip each way which was a big feat for me.

I'd used a FG XR6T Ute at the time to tow with which was alright. I felt a little claustraphobic being in a single cab for 14 hours though.

Ready to go!
In NSW

We stopped off somewhere in northen NSW for the night before we continued on the rest of the journey the next day

Bumped into some other blokes heading up with some cool cars

After a few more hours we finally arrived at Valla Beach and unloaded so we could drive around

Spotted this very nice zenki
VSS crew

Finally we were at Raleigh Raceway. Glad we trailered as the entrance was full of potholes
Gotta check your nuts!

Out on track

Some clips if you made it this far

And some more pics

I had a pretty fun day drifting at a new track. It's always refreshing to drift somewhere new. I also got to meet a lot of new faces who were super friendly.
End the day with a hearty parma

Home time

Sorry for the lack of words on this post I hope the photos and videos make up for it. Can't wait to do more driving!
