JZX Refresh

Super delayed post. So delayed that I’ve sold the mark ii, bought another car, rebuilt the engine, ran it in and tuned it by now. 

Anyways I won’t bore you all with too many words. I’ll just mainly have a bunch of photos from the process. 

Here’s the car after Josh painted all the parts

Got replacement front guards but unfortunately they had compliance indicators in them. 

Cut some steel out to fill them and ground it back

Numerous applications of body filler and sanding

Finishing off with spray putty

Next up was to convert the rear bar into a half bar. I wasn’t happy with the fitment and it didn’t have a provision for the chrome body trim. 

So I cut half of the bar off lol

Luckily fitted up to an OEM bar otherwise I was screwed and was going to need to order a proper half bar

It needed some repair after years of hitting stuff. Blogger uploaded them out of order apologies in advance

Gave the skirts a quick repair too

Front lip also needed some love

Drivers side guard was the worst off

Old front bar sort of fit in the bin lol. I replaced the front bar as it was broken

Test fit the front guards before paint

Josh the gun got it all painted and we assembled. I decided to cut the front bar too

That’s it. Big thanks to Josh for painting. Apologies again for pictures being out of order and the terrible writing on the post as this was all over a year ago and I’m feeling lazy but wanted to get a post up.
