So last weekend marked the final Vic Drift day for the year which was held at Winton. I'd made some recent changes to my car in the few weeks prior to it which I was excited to test out.
Two of our friends Shozo and Shin also flew in all the way in from Japan during the week to join us for the drift day alongside doing touristy things. I'm planning to organise another trip to Japan next year to visit them again.
So after a two and a bit hour drive, we made it to Winton unscathed and ready for a day of drifting.
Time to reverse tetris everything crammed into the car
Well everyone else was pretty much ready. I just needed a quick nap on my makeshift Winton bed.
Surprisingly comfortable
After my quick nap that I gave up on due to being swarmed by flies, we quickly went to scrutineer and play musical cars in the line because we all forgot to sign in before going to scrutineer so one person would run in to sign in while two of us moved the cars along the line.

After scrutineering and the drivers briefing, I attempted to adjust my tie rods then gave up when I couldn't crack the nut and then decided to take a new profile photo for FB instead lol.

Anyways, time to head out!

So since my last, I'd changed a few things on the car to address a few previous issues. My main issue last time steering wise, was that I was getting bind. To address that issue, I reduced camber and castor meanwhile adding some PBM offset rack bushes and the result? A success! I wasn't even able to hit full lock previously and now I was able to hit lock stops bind free ^_^

The other changes I made were the rear alignment which was changed to running toe in (was neutral before) and less camber (-0.5 static from -1.5) oh and the RB25 gearbox conversion which has taller gears. It took me a few laps to get used to the extra grip and longer gears, but I was quite happy with how the car drove.

Overall I had a great day out and I think I managed to improve my driving a bit too. Little bit of a shame that there were so many yellow lights which reduced driving time a little but that's life. Important thing is that the car survived the day and me clutch kicking 4th thinking I was in 2nd while mid drift and wondering why nothing was happening.
