Well it's been quite awhile since my last post on here as life has been quite busy lately. Most of my spare time is mainly spent performing renovations on my old house, which means I've rarely had a chance to do anything car related let alone work on my own car. The last car related thing I did was probably Winton Matsuri which I'll make a separate post for when I have time.
So I've been meaning to shoot Napo's EG for awhile and I happened to have a free day today without much planned. I popped down to his workshop today to give him a hand fitting up some Defi's to his Type X and to also shoot his track EG.

I wish I had a garage like this lol |
The Defi install was pretty straight forward with the only difficult bit being removing the bloody over-tightened oil filter in the PITA stock SR location!
|
All genuine here |
It's always handy to have a good quality set of tools on hand too.
|
Just remembered that I need to organise my toolbox again |
Raddie popped past to grab some parts. His car sorta makes me miss my EP3R which is somewhere now.
|
Car looks like it's asking "can we go track day can we go track day can we go track day please!" |
With the Type X finished, it was time to shoot the EG after quickly reattaching the front bar, side skirts and getting cold start on E85 to play nice.
|
I still want my SL's back fuuuuu but at least they're being used on the car |
So the car is obviously a track dedicated car which has already run a few days giving it a good shakedown. There's still more plans and improvements to be made to it.

Preparing for takeoff |

"In the wilderness, you can see the EG grazing before its next event" |

Room for an intercooler |

295's filling up the wide body guards |
The interior is quite neat inside. Everything appeared to be planned and executed quite well.
I love the colour of the cage too which contrasts very well against the yellow.
|
No passengers here unfortunately |
The full cage was crafted by the crew at Fabraications. The car is also equipped with carbon doors which were incredibly light as you could imagine.
I also liked how the ecu was placed too. Nice, neat, and easy to access if needed.
Can't forget the heart of the car which is a K20. These motors can be a little dull in standard form, but some basic bolt-ons and a tune hugely transforms the way these motors drive with the main benefit of gaining low and mid range which makes the car feel more linear in power delivery.
Napo has future plans to build a K24 Frank motor for this little car which will be interesting to see.
And that's a wrap. This car is making me want to get the S2000 ready to enter in Circuit Club's November Winton day, but at the same time I want to finish a few more things on the S14 and drive Vicdrift's December event or possibly even Drift X. Decisions, decisions...
